Hallgates Remedial Works

All the current planned works are now complete on site & tempoary fence has been removed . Severn Trent & Stonbury would like to thank you for your patients whilst this essential works were carried out .

Hi all,

We have had a very busy week with a variety of quality assurance tests to guarantee the highest level of works. This is now complete and are currently carrying out an internal clean of the reservoir.

Hi all,

Today on site we have been testing the east & west elevation drainage gully as part of our quality assurance. I’m pleased to report that this has passed with flying colours. The membrane strips that sit over the expansion joints on the roof are also now complete and over the next few days we will be carrying out further assurance checks before we can move onto the next part of the works.

Hi all,

The teams are are working on the external aspect of the tank and are progressing well today. We are currently laying strips of bonded membrane to the expansion joints which allow the concrete structure to move without cracking the concrete. We are almost half way there!

We are also working on some narrow gullies which are used to dispalce the water from the roof and they are very narrow, making access tricky. We are focusing on particular areas to avoid an issues and are currently still on schedule. 

The repairs to the concrete are complete and all of the works are at a great standard of work.

Full teams on site today 12 men in total. Another good day removing stone and membrane off of the res roof. Membrane has been a little more tricky today though.
